Baseball suffers from lackluster effort

It was the worst of times, it was the worst of times for Tamalpais High School varsity baseball as both their offense and their defense fell short of expectations. The varsity baseball team could not provide senior pitcher Ben Herrick with a single run in their 2-0 loss to Drake on March 30. Herrick pitched a  complete game, however  Drake pitcher Patrick Conroy was even more dominant, as he no-hit the Hawks.

Fast start for Tam boys and girls varsity track team

Young talent is the story for this season’s Tamalpais High School Track team. The success for both the boys and girls teams will depend on the rapid maturity—both physically and mentally—of their underclassmen.
“We have a really young group,” said Coach Kevin Engle. “A lot of sophomores and freshman are on the team, but everyone is working hard from top to bottom.”

Softball remains undefeated in MCALS

Last year, the Tam girls softball team shared a three-way tie for fourth place in the final league standings. This year, the girls came into the season with high expectations, hoping to accomplish what they hadn’t been able to the previous season. Coach Mike Wills led the girls to a win over Redwood March 10 to avenge the loss of last year’s MCAL title. The satisfying victory seeded them first in MCALs, and they look to future games for continued sucess.
“We’ve been working hard and playing good softball,” commented Wills on the year so far.
